Crocs is hiring a Director, Brand Marketing Strategy. This individual will lead brand and product marketing campaigns. The Director, Brand Marketing Strategy will play a key role in driving brand momentum, acquiring new customers, and positioning Crocs as a leader in the market. The role involves balancing the iconic Crocs brand with new product introductions, connecting to current events and trends, and positioning Crocs as an innovator in brand and campaign marketing. This role reports to the VP, Global Integrated Marketing and works closely with other directors and senior directors in creative, category, channels, and product teams.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement annual marketing strategy and work closely with Product to deliver seasonal calendars and plans to align cross functional teams around the world to drive the business.
  • Build brand strategies and enable brand marketing execution that drives key initiatives for Crocs across Tier-One markets (US, China, Japan, Korea, India, Germany, France, UK).
  • Develop global marketing calendar and priorities to align cross-functional teams to key milestones, including sales meeting.
  • Deliver global aligned approach and content for sales meeting, while supporting execution with key regional teams.
  • Partner closely with Crocs ESG team to integrate purpose into annual marketing strategy and implement within seasonal campaigns.
  • Co-create campaign briefs to support strategic and executional alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Cross-collaborate with Product, Merchandising, Channel Marketing, Integrated Marketing, and Creative teams to align on strategic approach and challenges to execute against plans to support the business.
  • Guide global brand marketing managers and regional leaders to aligned marketing strategies for key global initiatives.
  • Act as a strategic partner for cross-functional teams including Product, Merchandising, and Sales channels (eCommerce, Retail, Wholesale/Distributor).
  • Foster effective communication across all groups to enhance strategy effectiveness and alignment through collaboration.
  • Lead team of direct report(s), ensuring a productive and positive working environment.
  • Ensure alignment and buy-in with key stakeholders across teams and markets.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field (equivalent experience also considered; MBA or other advanced degree a plus).
  • At least 10+ of experience with a global brand that operates in multiple channels and geographic regions.
  • At least 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Footwear and/or retail industry experience is a plus, as well as a detailed understanding of the fashion and streetwear space.
  • Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
  • Excellent project management oversight abilities; with the ability to drive projects in ambiguous and changing environments against tight timelines.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional and cross-regional partners through influence; Ability to lead global teams in development and execution of global plans.
  • Understands dynamic and global business organizations; can navigate across sales channels and communications platforms to provide strategic recommendations and action plans that will drive brand awareness and esteem across consumer touch points.
  • Experienced in drafting strategic marketing briefs for both integrated and channel-specific programs.
  • Advanced analytical skills, ability to translate complex data, trends and insights into actionable strategy.
  • Passion for building strong brands with a focus on consumers.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workloads under pressure.

Title: Director, Brand Marketing Strategy 

Salary or Pay Range: $165,000 - $175,000  

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.

Your participation in this flexible schedule plays a key role in building a connected and successful team. In-office requirements vary by our work personas: Resident (5 days), Collaborator (4 days), Connector (2-3 days), Explorer (fully remote). This role has been aligned to the Collaborator persona.
