Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit and Collections Analyst to join our finance team. This role is responsible for assessing creditworthiness, managing customer credit limits, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to resolving payment issues.
What You'll Do
- Assessing the creditworthiness of customers by reviewing their financial information, commercial credit reports, and payment history.
- Establishing credit limits for customers based on their financial status and payment behavior.
- Review pending orders and release for processing as appropriate by making calculated credit decisions in a timely manner
- Monitoring overdue accounts and implementing strategies for timely payment.
- Contacting customers to discuss outstanding balances, negotiate payment terms, and resolve payment issues.
- Issuing reminders and follow-up communications to encourage prompt payment.
- Research customer chargeback deductions and process for appropriate credit approvals as appropriate
- Collaborate with customer and Cash Applications team to ensure accurate and timely application of payments/credits.
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns related to billing and payments.
- Collaborating with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve customer disputes and issues.
- Generating and analyzing reports on accounts receivable, aging, and collections performance.
- Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, payment arrangements, and correspondence.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing credit and collections activities.
- Work with Credit and Collections Manager to negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers who are experiencing financial difficulties.
- Collaborating with internal teams, such as Finance, Sales, Tax, Compliance, and Customer Support to streamline processes, provide excellent customer support, and improve overall efficiencies needed to meet or exceed department and company KPIs.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures related to credit and collections.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of working experience in B2B Credit & Collections
- Strong knowledge and proficiency with using ERP SAP, Salesforce, and Microsoft Excel
- Past record of success with major accounts and chargeback control
- Extensive customer service experience in high volume environment
- Ability to make decisions independently
- Strong reconciliations skills in high volume environment

Title: Credit & Collections Analyst
Salary or Pay Range: $67,000 - $77,000
Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
