Overview

The Associate Digital Developer at Crocs Inc., would be responsible for bringing innovative footwear designs from 3D to prototypes. This role involves operating and maintaining 3D printing equipment, preparing digital files for print, ensuring high-quality output, and collaborating closely with designers and 3D engineers. The ideal candidate is diligent, meticulous, and passionate about emerging manufacturing technologies that build the future of footwear.

What You'll Do

  • Printer Setup & Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate 3D printers to achieve optimal print quality and consistency.
  • File Preparation: Convert and prepare CAD files for 3D printing, including slicing, support generation, and print parameter optimization.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and measure printed components for accuracy and surface quality; adjust printer settings or processes as needed.
  • Material Management: Select, load, and manage printing materials and inventory; coordinate orders to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure printer reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Post-Processing: Clean, sand, assemble, or otherwise finish printed parts to meet design and aesthetic requirements.
  • Assembly: Construct and assemble prototypes, ensuring precise alignment, functionality, and design integrity.
  • Documentation: Maintain organized records of print jobs, materials used, and process settings for future reference and process improvement.
  • Collaboration: Partner with engineers, designers, and R&D teams to prototype new products and refine designs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance print speed, consistency, and quality.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
  • 1–2+ years of experience with FDM 3D printing (personal or professional).
  • Proficiency with slicing software (e.g., Cura, Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, Prusa Slicer).
  • Experience with CAD or 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, Blender).
  • Ability to work safely around machinery and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage numerous projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Enthusiasm for innovation, continuous learning, and process improvement.

Title: Associate Digital Developer 

Salary or Pay Range: $69,000 - $79,000 

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.

Your participation in this flexible schedule plays a key role in building a connected and successful team. In-office requirements vary by our work personas: Resident (5 days), Collaborator (4 days), Connector (2-3 days), Explorer (fully remote). This role has been aligned to the Collaborator persona.
