Overview

Reporting to the Sr Manager, Digital Design, the Art Director will be responsible for leading and developing a team of designers and copywriters in translating marketing and company-wide initiatives into strong visual brand campaigns that build cohesion in storytelling around each initiative. This includes leading all aspects of the creative conception and design of branding assets like logos and branding design systems for campaign stories, brand moments, internal programs and events, new product launches, as well as helping lead in the management and evolution of the core Crocs brand. This will also include crafting instructional toolkits for each brand or product campaign and providing the rest of the global creative team with assets and direction.

 

Following the vision and leadership of the Global VP of Creative & Associate Creative Director, the Art Director will guide and encourage the team to produce best-of-breed marketing materials across all global marketing channels to include: global print for Crocs and Wholesale retail stores, Crocs.com and Wholesale global digital properties, paid and organic social media channels, digital advertising as well as collateral materials for internal business clients. This person will have experience with guiding and directing external agency and production teams, as well as experience art directing on-set both in studio and on location.

 

You will be very creative, highly conceptual and have a refined design taste-level. This role must be able to both handle the day-to-day production of creative projects as well as build quick-turn design/copy concepts that will continue to elevate the Crocs brand globally.

This is a hands-on role and requires expert level Adobe CC skills and outstanding communication and leadership talents. The Art Director will be required to have outstanding ideas that are on-brand and on-strategy and the ability to quickly bring them to life and successfully present them.

 

You have a demonstrated track record of people management and be a cultural and creative leader committed to evangelizing the Crocs brand internally, as well as externally via consumer/customer marketing channels by being a passionate and willing voice of creative enthusiasm!

What You'll Do

  • Develop strong creative strategies that accurately reflect brand positioning
  • Translate campaign briefs into innovative creative approaches that are relevant for respective parties across the globe
  • Establish, elevate, and maintain global brand standards
  • Possess the initiative to pitch creative ideas to push the brand forward
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of creative software (includes Adobe Creative Suite) and market trends
  • Present and communicate ideas, concepts, and constructive criticism accurately and purposefully
  • Collaborate with the entire creative team to ensure designs are relevant for their respective channels
  • Work on multiple concurrent design projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and creativity
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or similar degree (ie: Communication, Digital Design, Web Design)
  • 5+ years related experience in Brand, Print and Digital Design
  • 2+ years related experience in management preferred
  • Demonstrate an adept skill level with Adobe Creative Suite (XD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma)
  • Demonstrate an ability to think globally, conceptually and strategically

Title: Art Director 

Salary or Pay Range: $105,000 - $115,000  

Workplace Persona: Collaborator  

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.

 

This position is eligible to participate in a company incentive program.
